MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP
Attention members:

​The Society of the Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge offers scholarships with eligibility to following individuals pursuing continued education: (1) Members (2) Child, grandchild, niece, nephew, grandniece, grandnephew, brother, or sister of a member.
Example of non-member family applicants: I am a lifetime member but my sisters are not members. I can sponsor their children, my nieces, to apply to this scholarship. My sister-in-law has two sons, those nephews are not eligible to be sponsored and apply because my wife is not a member of the Society.
Applicants are eligible so long as they are entering into or currently enrolled in a trade school, vocational school, seminary, community college, college, or university.
The scholarship will be evaluated on the following criteria: academic merit, extracurricular activities, volunteer service, and society interest and participation. The application must be completed by the student and returned with all supporting documents by May 1, 2025.

Specific point breakdown is as follows:
GPA (up to 20 points)
Extracurricular Activities and Career Goals (up to 30 points)
750-1000 Word Essay on an Aspect of Valley Forge or the Encampment (up to 50 points)
