ENCAMPMENT

Each year the members of DVF gather together in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania to celebrate the year's accomplishments and honor our ancestors. This time is called our Encampment, just as it was called in 1777.  We take time to tour sites in the Philadelphia area including Valley Forge National Historical Park.  We picnic with the Valley Forge Park Alliance on one of the evenings, participate in a memorial service at the Washington Memorial Chapel, and hold our annual banquet.

Because our members can be of all ages, many families make this an annual event.  These photos are from several previous Encampments.  At our annual banquet, those who wish, may come in period dress.

Join us for Encampment at the Valley Forge National Historical Park.  We have great activities planned for the whole family.

A block of rooms will be reserved at a group rate at a local hotel.  We recommend staying there since that is where the Commander-in-Chief's hospitality suite will be for several gatherings.

This spring, we will publish the Call to Encampment with all the information you need and the reservation form.  We hope to see you there!
